Melanie oversees The Social Deck’s engagement, research, data analysis, evaluation and community development work. She has an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management at UNSW, specialising in Social Impact.
She is experienced at facilitating research and engagement activity, understanding and analysing themes and recommending strategies that achieve results. Melanie also specialises in inclusive and accessible facilitation and engagement practices.
Melanie is experienced in applying Human Centred Design and co-design approaches. She has facilitated workshops in areas of health and social innovation, including delivering training courses in Human Centred Design approaches with staff and students at CQ University (CQU) and with the Queensland Social Enterprise Council.
Melanie has recently been a lead designer and facilitator for national consultations on a broad range of issues, including the National Obesity Strategy, National Disability Strategy, National Declaration for Educational Goals of Young Australians and supporting employment opportunities for people with disability. She has also led co-development for innovative behaviour change programs.
